Accreditation and Certification
All laboratory services are fully accredited and certified by leading organizations and U.S. agencies:
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
- College of American Pathologist – Forensic Urine Drug Testing (CAP-FUDT)
- Applicable local and state licenses
The stringent requirements to secure and maintain these above listed accreditations and certifications can be met by only the most rigorous quality control guidelines in the industry. This includes ongoing internal review to confirm testing accuracy and procedural controls as well as regular inspections by the above listed Federal Agencies and Professional and Quality Improvement Organizations.
Drug Testing Protocol
All laboratory based testing strictly adheres to a highly accurate, 2-tiered drug testing protocol:
- Screening Test (initial test): a high sensitivity enzyme immunoassay (EIA) screen for the presence of commonly abused drugs. All positive specimens receive further confirmatory testing.
- Confirmatory Test: gas chromatography / mass spectrometry (GC/MS) is used to identify and quantify the presence of specific drugs or metabolites. GC/MS is considered the “gold standard” in drug testing.
Laboratory Test Available
- Standard Urine Testing – The most common, accurate, and reliable way to test for drugs of abuse.
- Oral Fluid Testing - Preserves donor dignity and allows for an adulterant resistant collection process at any location.
- Hair Testing – A non-invasive, adulterant resistant test that provides accurate results and up to a 90 day history of drug use.
more information
- Street Drug Testing – Includes testing for some of today’s newest street drugs, such as Ketamine, Ecstasy, and Oxycodone.
- Adulteration Testing - To help you ensure the integrity of your drug testing program Adulteration Testing is automatically conducted on all laboratory urine specimens. Users of illicit drugs have attempted to defeat drug testing by either ingesting foreign substances, sometimes promoted as cleansing or detoxifying agents, or adding them to the urine specimen with the goal of altering the test results. If Adulterants are detected secondary state-of-the-art testing methods will be used to confirm their presence before reporting results. The following compounds are tested for: Creatinine, Nitrite, pH Level, Oxidants, Specific Gravity, Glutaraldeheyde.
More Information
- Healthcare Professional Panel – Addressing the potential drug abuse by healthcare professionals, this panel detects as wide variety of narcotics and sedatives available to professionals in the healthcare industry.
- Steroid Testing – Detects over 20 different anabolic agents (and their metabolites) commonly used by body builders, distance runners, and other athletes. Steroid panels also test for masking agents (eg. Probenecid) and other performance enhancing drugs including stimulants, narcotics, beta-blockers, and diuretics that may be used by athletes.
- Alcohol Testing – offered as urine or blood test, providing accurate and reliable results.
Standard Drug Test Panel Options
Laboratory Panels are either 5 or 10 drug panels.
Customized test panels are available.
